Dignity Players, Bay Theatre Company, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis, and the Unitarian Universalist Legislative Ministry of Maryland present a staged reading of Dustin Lance Black’s new court room drama “8″ based on transcripts and interviews from the federal case for marriage equality. “8″ demystifies the debate around marriage equality by chronicling the landmark trial of Perry v. Schwarzenegger. Join us on Sunday, July 22 at 6:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis. A reception and Q&A with representatives from the Maryland General Assembly, Equality Maryland, Marylanders for Marriage Equality, Standing on the Side of Love, and Maryland Faith for Equality follows the performance. $10 Admission. All proceeds benefit American Foundation for Equal Rights, the organizational sponsor of the federal lawsuit for marriage equality. For tickets or reservations, please visit dignityplayers.org.
If anyone is going, I'd love to hitch a ride up to Annapolis. I'll meet you at any Metro station. If you drive but don't have a car, I'll split the zipcar rental.
