Free Knitting Lessons During the Government Shutdown at Fibre Space
Just got this in my inbox, and thought it might interest or be relevant to some people...for those who aren't familiar with all the knitting stores ever in the DC region, Fibre Space is in Old Town Alexandria on King Street.
Learn to Knit FOR FREE during Government Shutdown
Impacted by the shutdown? Find comfort in knitting. Come on out to fibre space from 1-5 any workday that the government is closed and learn to cast on and knit with one of our fab instructors. Basic materials are as low as $5 for needles and $10 for yarn, should you need them. The instruction is free and the community is priceless!
*Please bring government ID or contractor ID.
Intro to knitting classes are normally $75, now free during these times for those impacted by shutdown.
