“Let the rivers clap hands,
let the mountains sing joyously together!” — Psalm 98

Mountaintop removal (MTR) coal mining has already destroyed over 500 of the world's oldest mountains and more than 2,000 miles of streams. We need to remember the Appalachian communities who are paying with their health for our use of coal-fired power.

Join Interfaith Power & Light, and with Appalachian community groups, environmental organizations, and clean water defenders to call on the Obama administration for an end to destructive mountaintop removal coal mining.

*Come with your congregational banners and T-shirts, or stop by during your lunch break, to join our whole-souled group! Look for the dove to find us in the crowd.
