Two track fires earlier today (Metro Center & Rockville); now there's a cracked rail ~~outside Forest Glen~~ between Medical Center & Grosvenor. (My mistake--not Metro's.)

The Washington Post's traffic columnist has updates.

A man was struck and killed on the Red Line near Forest Glen Metro Station. The man is believed to have intentionally been on the tracks.

Red line trains are single-tracking between Forest Glen and Silver Spring. Expect Red Line delays of at least thirty minutes.
