Red Line Metro Fatality

A man was struck and killed on the Red Line near Forest Glen Metro Station. The man is believed to have intentionally been on the tracks.

Red line trains are single-tracking between Forest Glen and Silver Spring. Expect Red Line delays of at least thirty minutes.

crap, I hadn't heard. That must have been why there was a delay when I was going home. I thought it had something to do with the incident last week.

Also, we so fail as a comm, that none of us thought to post about the metro collision here. ;_; :is determined to do better!:

Well, they had originally been saying there would be at least 30 minute delays through Tuesday due to investigation of last week's collision, so ... you would have been delayed anyway.

And I suspect no one thought to post on this comm because there has been very little traffic here in general.

Not a problem. It's not like I've been posting here either, and DC hasn't lacked for summer festivals and things.
