Veterinarian Recommendations

Anyone have recommendations on great vets in Maryland who are especially good with cats?

I haven't been happy with the care we've been getting for my cat with a complicated health profile.

My cat hasn't had very complicated problems, so YMMV, but everyone in Kindness Animal Hospital in Wheaton has always been really nice and responsive to his urinary tract stuff.

We go to CHAT and have always been very happy with their service. They're a cat-only vet.

We go to A Cat Clinic and they've been great with our kitties.

I like Dr. Simpson at the Beltsville Animal Hospital, but my cat does not have anything particularly complicated going on.

like reginagiraffe my wife and i also bring our three to CHAT in towson, and they are awesome, but we like dr. cottrell much more than dr. sternefeld -- we've found dr. sternefeld has been fairly judgy at us about our care decisions a few times, especially with Elder Statesman Cat, so if you have a complicated profile i'd definitely stick with dr. cottrell.

they are not cheap, though, if that's a consideration -- at least 10%-20% more expensive than other vets.

If you're near Takoma Park, Takoma Park Animal Clinic is marvelous.

The folks at APAW in Lanham helped me deal with my cat's diabetes and many other issues. (Not the cat in the icon, but the other one.)
